Frequently Asked Questions

We realize you have a lot of big decisions to make in the coming months and hope to make this one as easy as possible. Listed below are questions that deserve to be asked of any professional wedding photographer.

Is photography what you do for a living?

Yes. We are fortunate to make our living doing what we love to do. Few things can compare to the feeling of satisfaction we receive from our clients smiles. We are also available to shoot commitment ceremonies, family portraits (pets included), anniversaries, vow renewals, special events, social functions, etc. with equal enthusiasm.

Will the photographer I choose be the one that shows up?

Yes. If your first choice is unavailable, we will notify you in our initial reply.

How far in advance to I need to book you?

Many of our clients that are planning to have a large wedding book more than a year in advance with Saturdays in April, May, June and November filling up quickly. Booking the photographer you want less than six months from your wedding is a gamble, but not uncommon. Please don't hesitate to inquire!

Do you offer any type of specials?

Periodically we will offer special package rates that include one of our professional albums or coffee-table books.

Do you edit your photos?

Yes. While capturing the moment is first and foremost, we live in a digital age and believe fine tuning your images to look their very best is an obligation.

What if I only want color photos? Do you offer prints? I only want the high resolution disc...

We are flexible to your individual desires.

How many pictures do I get?

Each package comes with a guaranteed minimum number of images, however, we do not limit the number of photos we take and shoot many more. ALL of them are included on your high resolution disc.

How long do I have to wait for my photos, albums, books?

Photos are ready for online viewing within two to four weeks of your wedding day (varies by season) and books are shipped within three to four weeks of your image selections.

How long do I have to select the photos for my album or book?

You have as long as you like. However, if after ninety days you have not made your selections, the initial promised delivery time of three to four weeks will be delayed (varies by season).

What is a high resolution disc?

Either a DVD or CD containing all of your photos in JPG format (RAW files available on request). High resolution means 300 dpi (dots per inch) which is standard magazine print quality. Your photos can easily be printed as large as 16x20 inches without losing quality.

Am I able to print my own photos from the high resolution disc?

Yes. You have full rights to print whatever you like, wherever you like.

What are proof sheets and are they watermarked? What if I don't want them?

Proof sheets are professionally printed photos (approximately wallet size) that allow you to see what the final print will look like. While viewing photos on the web is fine for most people, this optional service is for those that want a hands on experience. They are not watermarked.

Can I buy prints from you directly?

Yes. Your photos will be displayed in a private web gallery which can be shared with family and friends anywhere in the world. Various print sizes, books, albums, announcements, holiday cards and much more can be purchased here.

Can I upgrade my photo package before the wedding?

Of course. We will accommodate you any way we can.

How do I pay you?

Cash, check and credit card (through PayPal) is accepted for deposits. Final payment (due the day of your wedding) must be paid with cash or personal check.

How do I know you will show up?

We have a long list of satisfied customers and reputation for professional service. This includes showing up ;-)

How will you be dressed?

Appropriately in black or neutral tone clothing.
